  On Sunday 2 March 2008 Pentyrch ladies U14’s played against Cardiff Quins ladies U14’s. Prior to the game Pentyrch launched their new kit and they would especially like to thank their sponsor, British Gas, who have not only pledged their support to the ladies section, they have also pledged their support to the whole mini and junior section for the 25th season in 2008/09.
It was a great day for the ladies, not only did they meet Richard James from British Gas, they also met Wales international Martyn Williams and Wales Women’s internationals Non Evans and Claire Flowers who had come along to present the kit and to wish the team well for the future. The actual game was a superb advert for women’s rugby with both sides wanting to run the ball wherever possible. Although Pentyrch ran out 52-7 winners it was not a fair reflection of the game as Cardiff Quins, who were only playing their second ever game, made Pentyrch fight all the way. |
